Padstow to Rock Swim

Swim one mile from Padstow to Rock, across the Camel Estuary, and raise money for charity.

The date for the 2012 swim is Sunday 1st July 2012. Registration has now closed for the non-elite swim.

With highly-organised support and safety cover, the Padstow to Rock Swim is one of only a handful of UK Open Water swims that anyone can enter. It aims to raise substantial sums for charity, while providing a safe and challenging event for all entrants.

Bring your family and friends to cheer you on and enjoy the entertainment at the start and finish. It is also a great event to watch. The swimmers leave from the Padstow slipway outside the Sailing Club/Sea Cadet Unit at the start of the Camel Trail and swim to the RNLI slipway on Rock Beach. A bar and BBQ are open to everyone at the finish in Rock, to provide time and space to exchange swimming stories, rest the limbs and feed the soul!

The Padstow to Rock Swim is all about raising money for charity. This year’s Charity partner is Marie Curie Cancer Care, an organisation which provides Marie Curie Nurses who care for terminally ill patients and their families. The swim will raise money for their Cornwall Nursing Appeal.

Essential Info

The 2012 event is on Sunday 1st July 2012. Swim times are 15:10 for Elites and 15:40 for non-elites.

Entry fee £35

The swim will raise money for the Cornwall Nursing Appeal for Marie Curie Cancer Care

You must register in advance. Registration is open for the Elite Swim, but the non-elite swim has now closed. There is now a waiting list - if you would like your name to be added to it please email your contact details to heidi.clemo@mariecurie.org.uk Do not send any money at this stage.
